Risk assessment in healthcare

New methods of assessing risk in healthcare systems, especially before proposed changes have been implemented, have been developed and published. Prospective  hazard analysis (PHA) has been a well recognised tool for many  years in some sectors of industry and our research, undertaken  jointly  with the Engineering Design Centre at Cambridge University  has provided the health service with a user friendly 'tool box' for use in healthcare.
